Prof. (SRH) Dr. med. Sven Reuter

Prof. Dr. med. Sven Reuter is a specialist in Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine, Physiotherapist and has been
working at PrehabSportsMedicine in Starnberg since 2018.

He is specialized in sports orthopaedics, particularly in functional diagnostics and therapy for injuries and conditions of the musculoskeletal system. After completing his training as a physiotherapist, he began his professional career at the Olympiastützpunkt Rheinland / Bayer 04 Physioteam. As a physician, he completed his sports orthopedic specialization at renowned clinics in Cologne and Munich. Since 2011 he is team doctor of the German National Team of the German Athletics Association (DLV). He regularly travels with the athletes to international training camps and competitions.

Since 2016 Sven Reuter is Professor of Health Sciences (with a specialization in physiotherapy) at the SRH University of Applied Health Sciences in Stuttgart. His research interests include clinical diagnostics and rehabilitation for injuries of the musculoskeletal system, as well as return-to-sport decision making and the prevention of sport injuries.

He is the author of numerous publications and holds regular scientific lectures at national and international congresses. Prof. Dr. med. Reuter is a lecturer at the University of Salzburg and a member of the Committee for “Prevention, Conservative Therapy and Rehabilitation” of the Society for Arthroscopy and Joint Surgery (AGA).
